Clippers-Heat on ESPN The Los Angeles Clippers could have Paul George back in the lineup this Friday when they visit the top team in the Southeast, the Miami Heat. ESPN has the opening tip at 8 PM ET; George has missed six of LA’s last seven games with a tender hamstring and wasn’t expected to play Tuesday night in Dallas.

The Clippers (30-13 SU, 23-20 ATS) are doing just fine without their No. 2 star. Kawhi Leonard is enjoying another quality season, at least in the games he doesn’t take off for load management; Los Angeles has gone 4-2 SU and 2-4 ATS during George’s latest stint on the injured list, after starting the year at 7-4 SU and ATS while George was still recovering from offseason surgery on both his shoulders. Friday isn’t part of a back-to-back situation for the Clippers, so Leonard is likely to play. Miami (30-13 SU, 25-16-2 ATS) have exceeded expectations this year, thanks to the arrival of Jimmy Butler and the ascension of third-year center Bam Adebayo. However, their offense has suffered somewhat with the loss of point-forward Justise Winslow to a back injury that’s expected to keep him out until February at the earliest.
