The long-standing rivalry between the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox will continue this Wednesday when the clubs meet for the second game of a three-game set from Rogers Centre. After dropping three games in a row, including two games played against the New York Yankees in the United Kingdom, the Red Sox are searching for answers. The defending World Series Champions haven’t looked the part this year; they’ve struggled to a 44-40 record and trail the Yankees by 11 games for the AL East lead. However, they’ll have an opportunity to make up some ground when they take on the youthful Blue Jays this week.

Toronto is coming off of an up-and-down series against the Kansas City Royals, but several bright spots emerged, including second baseman Cavan Biggio. He’s proving to be a reliable bat in the Jays’ lineup and has hit six home runs since being called up from triple-A just 31 games ago.

Biggio will face one of the more difficult pitchers in the big leagues on Wednesday when the Red Sox send starter Chris Sale to the mound. The lefty, however, has had mixed results this season. He’s coming off of a rough outing against the Chicago White Sox, where he allowed five earned runs over six innings. See how Sale fares on Wednesday, with the game beginning at 7:07 PM ET.
