The two best teams in the National League East will meet this Thursday when the 50-35 Atlanta Braves host the 44-40 Philadelphia Phillies. This is the finale of a three-game set in Cobb County; ESPN has the coverage at 7:20 PM ET, with Mike Soroka (2.13 ERA) due up for the Braves and fellow northpaw Zach Eflin (3.34 ERA) expected to pitch for Philadelphia.

In his first full season in the bigs, Soroka has been one of the most profitable pitchers in baseball, leading Atlanta to a record of 11-3 in his 14 starts. The 21-year-old Calgarian has been selected for the All-Star Game; the Braves drafted him out of high school in 2015 with the No. 28 pick and Soroka has already paid big dividends, showing impressive pitch control and inducing nearly three times as many groundballs as flyballs.

Eflin was a first round pick in 2012, but the Florida native hasn’t enjoyed much success since making his MLB debut with the San Deigo Padres. With an ERA of 3.34, this season has been his most successful throughout his 16 starts for the Phillies. He has the Phillies at 7-9 thus far and is getting just 4.06 runs of support per game.
