Justin Verlander (2.31 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Astros. Verlander leads the majors at press time with a 0.74 WHIP and just 4.8 hits allowed per nine innings, racking up 5.50 units in earnings on a team record of 11-3. The Under is also 11-3 for the former AL MVP and Cy Young winner. Second baseman Jose Altuve and OF George Springer are both out for Houston with hamstring injuries.

The Brewers, who have been at or near the top of the National League Central for much of the season, are expected to respond with Freddy Peralta (5.11 ERA). The sophomore right-hander has registered a 3-2 record thus far and has dropped 1.44 betting units along the way. Peralta was their No. 10-ranked prospect heading into the 2018 campaign, but he’s had just two quality starts in 2019, leaving the Over at 5-2.
