The Chicago White Sox have been surprisingly profitable in the American League Central. The Detroit Tigers, not so much. They’ll meet this Wednesday for a doubleheader at New Comiskey; the first game will be available on the MLB Network at 2:10 PM ET.

Dylan Cease expects to make his major-league debut for the White Sox in this matchup. Cease is a Georgia native who was selected out of high school by the Chicago Cubs in the sixth round of the 2014 Draft, although the flame-throwing righty was considered a first-round talent before he hurt his elbow that spring. He came over to the Southside in the 2017 deal for Jose Quintana and quickly moved up the ranks of the White Sox farm system, where he most recently pitched at AAA-Charlotte.

The Tigers will likely send southpaw Daniel Norris (4.62 ERA) to the mound for Wednesday’s opener. Norris threw only 77 pitches in his last start because of a groin cramp; The Tigers have won just four of his 14 starts thus far, but Norris did split a pair home and away games versus the White Sox back in April, holding them to a combined four earned runs over 10 innings of work.
