The Orlando Magic (41-40 SU, 44-36-1 ATS) have clinched the Southeast Division title. The Charlotte Hornets (38-42 SU, 39-40-1 ATS) are one of three teams fighting for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They’ll meet this Wednesday in the last regular-season game for both clubs, tipping off at 8 PM ET on ESPN.

The Magic earned their first playoff berth since 2012 by beating the Boston Celtics (–4.5 at home) 116-108 on Sunday. Winning the Southeast won’t improve Orlando’s seeding, though; they’re currently in seventh place in the East, but can move up to sixth with a win over the Hornets, provided the Brooklyn Nets also lose at home to the Miami Heat on Wednesday.

Charlotte has won three straight SU and ATS to move within striking distance of the No. 8 seed, including Sunday’s 104-91 upset over the Detroit Pistons (–6.5 at home). That loss brings Detroit down to eighth place, one game ahead of the Hornets and the Heat, who are tied at 38-42. Charlotte owns the tiebreaker over both Detroit and Miami should they finish with identical records; all three teams will be in action on Tuesday while the Magic are idle.
